Data tips for charity on offer from specialists - Data Dive event, Southampton this September

11 June 2018

NIHR CLAHRC Wessex is working with the Office for National Statistics, the University of Southampton and a charity called DataKind UK to help charities understand and get the best from their data.

Dr Brad Keogh from the Data Science and Health Analytics team says:  "Sixty data scientists will be available at this two days event to offer their skills to help charities
understand their data and help them build something for the greater good of our communities."

The last data dive event included the charities
Oxfam & Mind. We are looking to hear form interested charities based in
Wessex to be involved with this next event.

In the past Charities have gained a great amount from the events organised by DataKind , and
if there is potential for some longer term projects coming out of what is found,  DataKind also helps run longer term projects staffed with
volunteers.
