Claire Reidy

Doctoral Research Fellow

Claire is a CLAHRC Doctoral Research Fellow currently completing a PhD in Improvement Science at the University of Southampton, which is funded through the Health Foundation. Her background is in mental health and health psychology, with a particular interest in Type 1 diabetes. Claire’s PhD is focused on the factors that support people to incorporate an insulin pump into their everyday lives.

My PhD will involve exploring the process and experience of incorporating an insulin pump, as well as examining the barriers and facilitators involved in implementing a support tool (Genie) into practice, before introducing Genie to people who are new to using an insulin pump.
