Kate Gillett

Theme 1 PPI Staff Link, Research Fellow and Respiratory Nurse

Kate qualified as a registered nurse in 2009 after gaining a First Class Honours degree from the University of Southampton. She has a background of working in Intensive Care and respiratory nursing and completed a post graduate diploma in COPD in 2012. She lead on a project setting up e-learning diplomas in COPD for healthcare professionals and worked as part of a team looking at developing electronic self management systems for people with COPD. Kate has worked on large primary and secondary care research studies over the last 6 years and was part of a large project looking at developing services in COPD in the community. Since returning from maternity leave in mid 2017 she has been working on the large research project looking at case finding in COPD.
